The Widget Manifesto

 
I want to use my desktop for more than browsing. I want to work on it. I want it to inform me. And not just when I happen to open a browser window to my home page of widgets.

Information should be pushed to me…automatically

The widget should let me get more…and help me discover

The same widget must run on many devices…so I always have it

My widgets need to share…with each other

Widgets should enable custom devices…and will as technology advances

Widgets should enlighten, assist, entertain…and be a joy to use
